Megan Fox is back, and she’s turning up the heat in a whole new way. In the trailer for Subservience, the Transformers actress flaunts her fit physique and some impressive internal wiring. Playing Alice, a lifelike AI android designed to handle any family and home, Fox takes on a role that’s equal parts sexy and sinister.
The official synopsis teases a gripping story: “Looking for help with the housework, a struggling father purchases Alice after his wife becomes sick. Alice suddenly becomes self-aware and wants everything her new family has to offer, starting with the affection of her owner – and she’ll kill to get it.”
Joining Fox in this futuristic thrill ride are Michele Morrone, known for his smoldering presence, and Madeline Zima, who you might remember from The Nanny, A Cinderella Story, and Twin Peaks: The Return. The trailer kicks off with Fox in a showroom filled with conservatively-dressed robots. A voiceover proudly proclaims her as “the most sophisticated AI on the planet.”
Fox’s character Alice quickly proves she’s more than just a helpful housemaid. In one steamy scene, she seductively tells Nick, “Suffering is not productive, Nick. I can help you,” before undoing his belt. Talk about crossing professional boundaries! As Nick tries to end their illicit affair, Alice makes her move to take over Maggie’s spot as the woman of the house.
The trailer apparently promises high-octane action sequences, with Alice leading a robot rebellion. This is more than just a domestic dispute—it’s an all-out war between man and machine.
The trailer release comes hot on the heels of Fox’s appearance in Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll’s music video for “Lonely Road,” where she sported a baby bump. Naturally, fans went wild with speculation that the couple was expecting a baby. However, insiders were quick to debunk the rumors, clarifying that the baby bump was just for the music video. “Although they have discussed having a baby, this was just for MGK’s music video,” a source told Us Weekly.
As always, the internet had plenty to say about Fox’s new role and her evolving look. One fan commented, “She just looks like Kim K now. Not Megan Fox.” Another added, “A robot is a perfect role for her. Her acting is very robotic.”
Other fans were more critical of her appearance, with one writing, “She is completely botched she doesn’t even look like herself anymore, her facial expressions look distorted.” And of course, comparisons to other robot-themed movies were inevitable: “So Megan Fox plays an adult version of the baby doll M3GAN. Very original…”
