Elisabeth Moss, the award-winning star of ‘Mad Men‘ and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale‘, has shared some exciting news with her fans: she is expecting her first child!
The 41-year-old actor and producer revealed her pregnancy during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘ on Tuesday night. She was promoting her new movie ‘The Invisible Man‘, which is set to hit theaters on February 9.
Moss surprised Kimmel and the audience when she casually mentioned that she was pregnant while talking about her recent trip to Australia. She said she had a great time there, except for the “tiny thing” of being pregnant.
Kimmel, who is a father of four, congratulated Moss and asked her how far along she was. Moss did not disclose the exact date, but she said she was “pretty far” and joked that she was “about to pop”.
She also did not reveal the identity of the father, but she said she has been “really lucky” and that her pregnancy has been “very smooth” so far. She asked Kimmel for some advice on parenting, and he suggested that she should “sleep now” and “enjoy the peace and quiet”.
Moss was previously married to comedian and actor Fred Armisen, whom she met on the set of ‘Saturday Night Live‘ in 2008. They tied the knot in October 2009, but they separated in June 2010 and finalized their divorce in May 2011.
Moss has since been linked to several other celebrities, including Tom Cruise, Jon Hamm, and Adam Arkapaw. However, she has kept her personal life private and has not confirmed any of these rumors.
This will be Moss’s first child, and she seems to be very happy and excited about it. She told Kimmel that she is looking forward to meeting her baby and that she is “ready for it”.
Moss is one of the most acclaimed and versatile actors in Hollywood, with a career spanning over three decades. She has won two Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her roles in ‘Mad Men‘ and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale‘. She has also starred in films such as ‘The One I Love‘, ‘The Square‘, ‘Us‘, and ‘The Kitchen‘.
She is currently working on the fourth season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale‘, which is expected to premiere later this year. She is also producing and starring in a biopic of the late writer Shirley Jackson, titled ‘Shirley‘.
We wish Elisabeth Moss all the best for her pregnancy and her upcoming projects. Congratulations to the soon-to-be mom!
