Britney Spears hasn’t seen kids in ‘over a year,’ sons stopped answering texts

Britney Spears hasn’t seen her teenage sons in “well over a year” due to their public argument about her behavior on social media.

The boys stopped responding to her texts at the end of the summer [2022] because of their increasing tensions. In the documentary “TMZ Investigates: Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom,” producer Katie Hayes of TMZ reported that Britney was enraged.

The “Toxic” singer last saw her boys Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, at the “very beginning of 2022,” which was before her marriage to Sam Asghari, a source tells us.

Spears’ connection with her sons had long been strained, but things reached a breaking point in August 2022 when Jayden openly challenged her parenting techniques.

At the time, Jayden told the Daily Mail, “I think Mom has struggled to give us both attention and equal love; I don’t think she showed enough to Preston, and I feel extremely horrible for that.

Kevin Federline, the boy’s father, claims that Spears’ propensity for displaying her bare body online didn’t help.

“I try to enlighten them by saying, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she attempts to express herself.’ But that doesn’t change the fact that it affects them in any manner, he told the Daily Mail. “It’s hard. I have no idea what it’s like to be a teenager who has to attend high school.

Soon after, Spears expressed her sadness about the way Jayden had talked about her in public.

“[Jayden’s] outcry that I wasn’t up to his expectations of a mother deeply saddens me,” the singer writes. “and perhaps one day we might meet in person to discuss this in detail!!!!” In September 2022, Spears shared a lengthy Instagram post.

Federline, who reportedly receives $20,000 a month in child support from his ex, posted recordings of Spears purportedly yelling at her sons that were apparently filmed without her consent after the singer posted numerous social media messages criticizing her sons.

“He carried out. Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, stated in the documentary that aired on Monday, “I imagine that he regrets he hadn’t. He genuinely believed that at some point he had to speak out against the negative publicity that Britney’s side had given them.

But now that more time has passed, it seems the estranged family is prepared to put the turmoil behind them.

According to Charles Latibeaudiere of TMZ, “Recently, there have been sporadic texts between Britney and her kids, so maybe the ice is thawing a bit.”

Even Kaplan, who still has a great deal of “love” for the family, believes there is hope for them.

“They love their mother, and they hope that the relationship will improve going forward so that everyone is comfortable, but right now, that is a dynamic that doesn’t seem to be in existence,” the lawyer continued.

Although Spears’ life after the conservatorship was to be highlighted in the new TMZ documentary, her husband referred to the entire project as “disgusting.”

In a video he uploaded to his Instagram Story on Sunday night, Asghari said, “I thought it incredibly horrible because the people who were in her life when she didn’t have a voice, they went and recounted her story like it was theirs.”

He posed the rhetorical question: “All of a sudden — after 15 years, when she’s free, after all those gaslighting, all those things that went down — now you’re going to put her under a microscope and tell her story?”
