Zendaya on relationships and infidelity: “Not all men are dogs”

Zendaya is celebrating Tom Holland’s 27th birthday!

The actress uploaded a number of photos of her Spider-Man costar and off-screen boyfriend on her Instagram Story on Thursday, embellishing them with a series of loving emoji.

Holland was all smiles in one photo, taken while he posed on a ledge overlooking a vast sea. Another photo showed Holland forming a heart with his hands as he swam in the water.

The Emmy-winning Euphoria star reciprocated the love by pairing the photographs with a crimson heart and a heart-eyed emoji, respectively.

On his social media account, the birthday boy celebrated his big day by posting a photo of himself clad in blue boardshorts and a helmet.

In the post’s caption, he thanked his friends and followers “for all the wonderful birthday messages” and joked that the shot was “possibly the sexiest picture” ever taken of him before ending with the hashtag “#sexyiestmanalive.”

Zendaya entered the comment area and left a heart eyes emoji.

According to a source, Holland and Zendaya “started seeing each other” while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, their first film together in the Marvel trilogy, in 2016.

“They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye, but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try to spend as much time as possible with one another,” one insider claimed at the time.

During an interview with GQ in November 2021, Holland expressed the desire to keep their romance private.

“I’ve always been adamant about keeping my private life private because I share so much of my life with the rest of the world.” “We felt robbed of our privacy,” he explained. “I don’t think it’s a lack of preparation. It’s just that we weren’t interested.”

In the same interview, Zendaya echoed Holland, saying, “The equal sentiment [we both share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things you wish were your own.” I believe that loving someone is a precious and special thing that you want to deal with, go through, experience, and enjoy with the two individuals who love one other.”

Late last month, it was revealed that a fourth Spider-Man film starring the couple is still in the works. However, due to the ongoing writer’s strike, progress on the movie has been halted, producer Amy Pascal confirmed in an interview with Variety.

“Are we making another film?” “Of course we are,” Pascal told the publication. “We’re in the process, but nobody is working because of the writers’ strike.” We’re all supporters, and when they get their act together, we’ll get started.”

Zendaya, the strikingly gorgeous Hollywood actress with many talents, has always been impressed with her openness and confidence. She is notoriously quiet, but there was one occasion when she boldly addressed her concerns about committed relationships and infidelity.

She admitted to having been cheated on in the past but claimed that judging all men based on her negative experience with one type would be unfair. Zendaya’s remark demonstrates that she values individuality and rejects stereotypes.

“Not all men are dogs. You can’t categorize an entire type of person because of something that happened to you once. But I would say, follow your gut. If you feel it, it’s probably happening. If you feel like you can’t trust somebody, or you feel whatever, then you shouldn’t be in a relationship with them.”

It’s commendable that Zendaya has been able to move on from past heartbreak and have a positive viewpoint since it shows that she has no ill will toward men in general. Zendaya’s openness and maturity as she moves forward in her personal life can teach us all to approach our own romantic pursuits with prudence, self-awareness, and an open mind.
