Justin Timberlake’s Lawyer Claims Star Wasn’t Drunk – Fans Cry Foul!

Justin Timberlake has found himself in a swirling storm of controversy. The singer-turned-actor was arrested for DWI in the Hamptons last month, but his lawyer’s claims that Timberlake was “not intoxicated” have set the internet on fire.

The trouble started on June 18, around 12:30 AM, when Justin Timberlake was pulled over by the Sag Harbor Village Police Department. According to court documents, Timberlake was driving a 2025 BMW X7 when he allegedly ran a stop sign and veered out of his lane. The officer on duty noticed Timberlake’s erratic driving and decided to investigate.

The ‘Selfish” singer, looking every bit the superstar even in a police report, told the officer he’d only had one martini and was simply following friends home. Despite his claims, he was charged with a driving-while-intoxicated misdemeanor.

The news of Timberlake’s arrest spread like wildfire, and fans were quick to voice their opinions on social media. The general consensus? Timberlake’s defense doesn’t pass the smell test.

“Wink wink right ????? Let’s prove one more time to the world ‘if you have enough money and influence I get to embarrass a cop and get away with anything’ way too loser,” one fan wrote, dripping with sarcasm.

Another questioned, “If he wasn’t intoxicated why did he refuse breathalyzer testing? If I were not intoxicated and had one drink I would have no issue taking one.”

The comments kept rolling in, with some fans still rooting for their idol. “JUSTICE FOR JUSTIN,” one supporter exclaimed, while another bluntly claimed, “He was hammered.”

One particularly scathing comment read, “In another words, it’s the cops fault how there can be working that night and stop a car ran a stop sign and he knew who Justin Timberlake was and he targeted him. Is that what he’s saying????? Shame on Justin Timberlake.”

Another added, “Justin, just take it like a man. No one wants to be accountable for their own actions. Always looking for an easy way out.”

Timberlake’s lawyer, Burke, made a splash in the courtroom, claiming the prosecutors had botched the case. According to Burke, the initial charging papers lacked a superior officer’s signature, which he argued should lead to the case being dropped.

“The police made a number of very significant errors in this case,” Burke said. “In court today, you heard the district attorney try to fix one of those errors. But that’s just one and there are many others. Sometimes the police make mistakes and this is just one of those instances.”

The singer-songwriter was notably absent from the courtroom, as he is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in Poland. He’s scheduled to appear virtually on August 2 for arraignment on one count of DWI.

With Timberlake’s arraignment looming and his tour ongoing, fans and critics are eagerly watching to see how this scandal unfolds. So, what do you think?
