It Ends With Us is getting things started with a fiery reveal.
In the first photos from the upcoming motion picture based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling book, Blake Lively debuted her most recent hair transformation.
The actress, who takes on the role of redheaded florist Lily Bloom, appeared on the New York City set on May 15 sporting a fresh red hairstyle. While filming on a sidewalk, Blake additionally wore a vivid fuchsia jacket over a pale pink tee and a long brown dress.
The 35-year-old actress once took off her rose-colored shirts to show off the halter neck design of her dress for a scene with Justin Baldoni, who also serves as the film’s director and plays her love interest Ryle Kincaid.
Robyn Lively, Blake’s half-sister, was also sighted on the set, but it’s unknown whether she was there to visit or take part in the movie.
Although it was revealed last month that 1923 actor Brandon Sklenar will be playing Atlas Corrigan, Lily’s ex-boyfriend and childhood buddy, further casting information for the much-awaited film has been kept very quiet.
When the casting announcement was made, the movie’s synopsis stated that Lilly Bloom “has always known the life she wants, despite coming from a complicated past.” She meets neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid while residing in Boston and feels as though she may have found her soul mate.
However, soon after, concerns about their connection surface. To further exacerbate the situation, Atlas Corrigan, her high school sweetheart, reappears, endangering her relationship with Ryle.
Blake and Justin, who are also the film’s executive producers, have kept the identity of the actor who will play young Lily a secret. However, Justin said on April 19 that after a protracted search that included an open casting call on social media, they have discovered their star.
“Thank you for being a part of the process, it was inspiring, and all of the messages we received were just validation for why we’re making this movie and why this movie is so important,” he wrote on Instagram. We’ll be announcing our young Lily soon. We found her.
It Ends With Us, which was first released in 2016, has become more well-known recently owing to book fans on TikTok. It Starts with Us, the book’s prequel, was published last October.
It’s not the first time Blake has worked to make a book come to life. She is best known for portraying Serena van der Woodsen on the 2007–2012 television adaptation of Cecily von Ziegesar’s Gossip Girl novel series.
She also starred in the 2018 film A Simple Favor, which was adapted from the same-named book by Darcey Bell. A sequel to the dark comedy is currently being created.
Actress Courtney Lopez stated in January, “I’ve really read the screenplay now, and it’s so wonderful.
It Ends With Us and the follow-up to A Simple Favor don’t yet have set release dates.
