The 43-year-old reality TV icon decided that what the world needed was a close-up of her playfully curled tongue, because why not?
In a trio of photos snapped from inside a luxury vehicle—because we all know Kim doesn’t do anything less than five-star—she gave us her latest installment of “I’m still hot, right?” But, instead of igniting the usual praise and adoration from her legions of fans, the internet’s ever-vocal critics had a field day.
In the first of the three selfies, Kim can be seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie, her raven locks cascading down in waves that would make any Hollywood starlet jealous. Curled up in what we assume was meant to be a playful gesture, her tongue instantly became the focal point of the internet’s collective sarcasm.
One commenter, clearly not here for the tongue theatrics, quipped, “That tongue has been everywhere.” Another chimed in with, “That’s the least sultry look imaginable. She’s way too old to try for cute. She’s a mess.” Ah, nothing like a little ageism to keep things interesting on social media.

Before the tongue made its Instagram debut, Kim was busy jet-setting on the east coast. She spent several days in New York City, where she was spotted multiple times with her mini-me, 11-year-old North. The mother-daughter duo made the rounds, including a stop at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon where Kim promoted her collaboration with Beats headphones.
Naturally, Kim’s TV appearance was as much about fashion as it was about business. She wore a white dress that was low-cut and featured midriff cutouts, because why cover up when you’re Kim Kardashian? The superstar made sure to flaunt her curves, playing up her busty chest and toned abdomen, just in case anyone forgot that she’s still got it.
In the caption of her NYC post, Kim framed ‘NY’ between two white heart emojis, because nothing says “I love New York” quite like a minimalist emoji arrangement. Of course, North made a cameo in some of the images, reminding everyone that she’s not just Kim’s daughter—she’s also her budding fashion protégé.
