Ray J’s Thanksgiving Nightmare: Arrested After Gun Threat in Livestream Clash with Princess Love

LOS ANGELES – Rapper and reality star Ray J, real name William Norwood Jr., faced a dramatic Thanksgiving arrest early Thursday morning following a volatile livestream from his Porter Ranch home, where he allegedly brandished a handgun during a heated dispute with estranged wife Princess Love.

The chaos unfolded around 4 a.m. as Ray J went live on Instagram, ranting about enduring “the worst Thanksgiving in the f—— world.” He claimed outsiders were plotting to seize his children, Melody, 6, and Epik, 5. Viewers watched in horror as he grabbed a handgun from a table, loaded it, and issued stark warnings: “If these n—– step foot close to this door, I’m going to blow this f—ing s— away.”

Princess Love burst into frame cradling their daughter, accusing Ray J of pointing the weapon at her and a male relative, possibly her cousin’s husband. “Ray, you just pointed a gun,” she shouted, while he fired back, denying it and labeling her and others “drunk alcoholics” trying to drive off with the kids. Amid cries from the child, police sirens pierced the audio as LAPD officers arrived on a domestic violence call. Ray J defiantly yelled, “I’ll shoot the f—ing police,” before authorities entered, checked the scene, and took him into custody without resistance.

Charged with felony criminal threats, the 44-year-old singer posted $50,000 bail and was released later that day, trailed by his entourage. The incident spurred a Twitch ban for violating policies on weapons and violent threats. Princess Love later broke her silence online, slamming Ray J as a “woman abuser” with a history of terrorizing partners. She vowed not to leave the children with a man “waving a gun around,” hinting at pursuing sole custody amid their toxic, on-again-off-again marriage since 2016 – her fourth divorce filing came in February 2024.

This explosive episode spotlights the couple’s endless custody wars and past splits, including a 2019 Las Vegas brawl during her pregnancy and a 2020 filing. As legal fallout looms – potentially costing millions in assets and support battles – fans and followers await court updates on this holiday horror turned public spectacle.
